The
installation of clear corners has to be one of the
quickest mods to do to your car. I had mine done in
under 2 minutes, and that includes stopping to take
pictures. They look good and are a nice addition, but
some people (myself included) were baffled when it came
to taking the stock orange corners off of the car, so I
decided to take some pictures, since pictures are worth
a thousand words. Also note, that there are many
different ways to do this, and while some people suggest
wrapping a screwdriver in a towel, PLEASE be extra
careful as I have read stories of the screwdriver
ripping the cloth and putting a huge scratch in their
car!!
1. Here are the clear corners we will be removing, this
is on the right-hand side of the vehicle (when you are
sitting in the drivers seat) but they're identical on
both sides. Also, please note that the corners I got fit
the stock bulbs, so they didn't require splicing, while
some others do require this, once you get the corners
off, it should be a piece of cake.

2. This
is the trickiest part, and there are numerous ways about
this. What you will want to do is "slide" the sidemarker
"up" by pushing/pulling from the bottom, so as to be
able to slip your finger underneath. Some people
recommend wearing surgical gloves to get a good grip.
Since I'm not Hannibal and can't slip into the E.R.
unnoticed to snag some gloves, I used one of those
rubber "jar opener" thingys. You can see how I am
pulling up from the bottom, where there will be a slight
gap to grab a hold of. It took a few tries to get it, so
be persistant, or ask for another set of hands if you
are having trouble.

3. Once
you can get your fingers in there, pull GENTLY (you
don't want to crack them or scratch your paint now, do
you??) and they will pop off the side of the car. Again,
pull more from the bottom as that is where the tab is
located.

4. Here
is what the side of the car looks like with the marker
removed. If you need to splice wires, this is where it's
gonna happen. But since we all have to remove the orange
corner itself, that's next.

5. Here
you can see where you need to turn the bulb about 35
degrees to "unscrew it" from the locking tabs that hold
it in place, and then lift the bulb out. You could also
disconnect the bulb from the wiring harness by pressing
on the white tab to release.

6. Once
you have either placed the bulb in the new clear
corners, or have done your splicing, simply do
everything in reverse. Put the top portion in first,
while pressing "up" slide the bottom into place, and it
should snap in. Most people claim the aftermarket
clear-corners do not fit AS tight as the OEM one's do,
but if you are really concerned, you probably don't even
need to be reading this since you could fab something to
hold them tightly into place (ie. weatherstripping/dremel
action.)
As the French would say, c'est fini
