Article on: Tinting

This is yet another chapter in my "really cool but probably illegal" book.

I must give thanks to blkwag for this one, it's all his.

Get the Summit Racing catalog or equivilent and order a nice can of VHT Nite-Shades spray tint.

Part Number:
VHT-SP999 - $7.00 from Summit Racing

Open your hood and unclip the wiring harnesses from the backs of the side markers.

Now for the tricky part, removing the side markers. The passenger side one is really easy, just poke yor
hand through the hold in the fenderwall and push the clip down and pop the light out. The drivers side one is
bit of a PITA. Push up towards teh sky on the bottom part of the light and pry lightly away from the car on
the bottom part once you can free up a little space between the seal and the car. Once you have the side
markers off you can paint them.

Make sure the lights are nice and clean and spray them lightly with the VHT spray. The spray will look
brown but don't worry it dries dark dark grey. Put on a nice coat and let it sit for about 4-5 hours. You
DON'T want any smudges on thiese babies.

Once you are satisfied with the color put them back on.
