ISDC Trackday 2010 has been booked, get your place now!

After last year’s great success, this year’s trackday will in Mondello Park, full international track for the afternoon (2-5:30).

For anybody that missed last years, there are lots of pictures below.

Deposit of €99 required. Deposit can be paid through the club shop here: http://www.isdc.ie/club_shop.htm. Or you can pay by post in a week or two as were just waiting on the po box number to arrive.

This will be the cheapest track day in the country so don’t delay in putting your deposit down as we are limited to 50 drivers/cars. If we get are 50 drivers/cars the price of the day will stay at 99 euro but if we don get the 50 we might have to charge a little extra but no more than 30 euro per head so still very cheap. Last year we had 45 full members and it cost 125 per head so I can’t see why we can’t get an extra 5 drivers this year.

Details for the Day!

From Mondello:
Drivers must be over 18
Passengers must be over 18 too
Drivers must hold a valid full drivers license and produce it (or proof of it) at sign on
Sign on begins from 12.30pm
Drivers Briefing at 1.30pm
Track session from 2pm to 5.30pm

Well for anyone that wasn't there this was an amazing event with great attendance by a large number of members new and old  ,

ll the dublin lads arranded  to meet at the arc bar car park in liffey valley for 11:30, so we could leave there before 12 as its about 1:15 drive away from there, which gave us a little time before were on track at 2. The usual banter took place between the lads and also the usual admiration of each other cars , this was also a great chance to take a few photos and sort out who was travelling with who ,

After meeting up with a few more lads just outside of Mulingar and the rest at the track it was shaping up to be an great day , weather included

Fair play to Duffman for winning the final race and for posting the quickest lap of the day , that man was on fire as was Ciaran rsra who pushed hard all day so duffman didnt have it all his own way , there was some great close faught battles and a few gentle nudges and an occasional battering (sorry sweetcakes) but it was all in the spirit of the day and taken in good humor ,

Massive thanks to the event organisers and the treasurer for ensuring the day went off without a glitch ,

And also a massive massive thanks to those attended and made the event what it was ,  thumb , Hopefully this can become a yearly event so for those who are thinking of joining or even the members who missed it , Dont miss out next time around  thumb  thumb  thumb

The Winner , Jonathon (DUFFMAN) Duff y

Second place , Ciaran (CiaranRSRA) Timmons      (must have got her number  whistle)

Third place, Eli Roche

ISDC Annual Barbecue and Family Fun Day 2009

The ISDC had its annual family day BBQ this year at the Rock Inn in Portlaoise on the 30th of August. The day was organised by club organiser Dan (ForesterSTi) with the huge help from members Diesel Tom, Noeler2009 and Turbo Tony. The lads had worked on this event for many weeks leading up and put their all into making it the event it turned out to be.  They were also given a big hand by Keith09, NiallD and Ker99 setting up both on the morning of the BBQ and leading up to the event.

Members met up all over the country that morning and convoyed to the Rock Inn in Portlaois, where on arrival Tom and Tony laid out the cars up the driveway of the Rock Inn - which looked the business more and more the day went on.

The rain kept coming all day but that didn’t spoil the members and their families having a great day as there were a few gazebos as well as the pub to sit in while eating the great BBQ food served up by Noel and his family. The kids were kept entertained with the food, ice cream and bouncy castle which worked a treat. The DJ, our very own NiallD, also did a great job.  "The Dent Eraser" was on site all day and a good few members were able to get those small annoying dents removed from their cars.

The club's traders sponsored the event, giving €2,500 worth of prizes to be raffled off on the day with every member who attended getting a free ticket. The raffle was one of the main events, with so many top prizes from our sponsors Street Performance, Ali Burrows, STi Tuning, ASD Automotive, Couture d'Auto, JOMO Engineering, East Coast Customs, Top Gear, Carroll & Roche and Ferry's Garage. Prizes themselves ranged from a €50 voucher to a weekend away at a rally.

The club also received payments for five new members on the day. It's great to see that the club is still growing with each event.

Altogether 60+ members and 50+ family members came on the day. All went home happy with a belly full of food, prizes won and the more important chit chat which we all love that is Subaru.

On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank all the lads involved and their families for making this day a great event for the club and also extend thanks to all the traders that contributed so many great prizes for the raffle.
